The Research Institute for Chromatography (R.I.C.) was founded in 1986 by Prof. Dr. P. Sandra and has been involved in the development and promotion of chromatographic know-how from the very start. R.I.C. offers analytical services to the industry and to private and governmental laboratories. In collaboration with the customers, new methods are developed, evaluated and validated. Very often, the final step of this method development work is the transfer of instrumentation, knowledge and know-how to the customer's laboratory.
Ever since its foundation, the research activities and the method development projects have been situated in a broad range of application areas, such as chemistry, petrochemistry, food and natural product analysis, polymer analysis, pharmaceutical analysis and environmental analysis. Parallel with these services, R.I.C. is also involved in instrumental innovations in collaboration with manufacturers.
From this unique position in-between chromatography users and instrument manufacturers, R.I.C. has also experienced a still growing need for dedicated training in chromatography and electrophoresis. R.I.C. is therefore running a training program in order to guide chromatography users through the recent developments in modern separation sciences. The unique goal of our team is to transfer the know-how in a practical way.
