GERSTEL Automated Liner EXchange
Routine analysis of samples with high content of nonvolatile compounds, particulates and other solid matrix material
Matrix material from samples can contaminate a GC liner, leading to peak broadening and loss of compounds through adsorption in the liner within a few GC runs. Under such conditions, the analyst is forced to perform frequent liner replacement, an operation which normally requires manual intervention. Under these conditions, running a large series of samples represents a serious challenge.
GERSTEL's Automated Liner EXchance (ALEX) technology performs automated CIS 4 liner exchange at user defined intervals. When used with the GERSTEL MPS 2, the ALEX system enables automated CIS 4 liner exchange at predetermined regular intervals in a sequence. Specially designed trays can hold 14 or up to 98 CIS 4 liners in individually sealed, contamination-free storage compartments.
GERSTEL Maestro software provides integrated control of the MPS 2, ALEX system and CIS 4. In combination with the Agilent Technologies ChemStation, a single method and sequence list control the entire system including GC and MSD.
